A Longford food production company hopes to add up to twenty extra staff to its workforce before the end of this year.
Last month the Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys confirmed that the Hot School Meals Programme is to be extended to an additional 189 primary schools.
The additional €5.5 million for the extension of the Hot School Meals will see over 35,000 children, including dozens locally, benefit from the service
FreshToday, which is based at the Royal Canal Business Park in Longford, will be the key hub for the preparation and delivery of the meals and it's hoped the expansion will allow for further job opportunities later this year.
