A Longford bike hire operator hopes domestic tourism will return to 2020 levels.
It's reported a lack of accommodation is impacting tourism providers across the country.
However, Robert Crilly from Midland's Cycle Hub in Clondra says he's forecasting similar international tourist numbers as last year.
The local provider had a busy bank holiday weekend and he hopes the domestic market will return this year having went on holidays abroad last year after the pandemic.
"I find I'm able to still book accommodation for my customers and I'm more or less doing the same thing as I was last year on the [international] market . I hope the bike hire and the one day tours can take-off a bit more now that we have the domestic market back. It's Ireland Hidden Heartlands and we need to get the picture out there more. I'm seeing it here and I'm seeing it in the responses when people actually come out here to Clondra".
