Longford CF campaigner Jillian McNulty says life for people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland looks set to be transformed later this year when a new drug called Trikafta becomes available.
The Longford woman became one of a very few people in Ireland to try the new drug in the past several days and says it has worked miraculously well for her so far.
Jillian who successfully campaigned to have the drug Orkambi made available here for CF sufferers in recent years says the new drug has helped her hugely and has proven to be far more effective than even Orkambi.
She was given leave just over a week ago to get the new drug under compassionate use while she was still seriously ill in hospital.
The Longford woman says she can't believe the difference it's made in such a short time and hopes that she can now get back on the road to building up for a kidney transplant ....
