Over 400,000 is to be provided in funding to help gigs and festivals happen this year.
The Live Performance Support Scheme aims to provide money for live events to take place even with reduced attendances. Longford based Circus Vegas American Circus is the biggest local beneficiary receiving €203,190 to travel throughout Ireland
In Leitrim, the Landmark hotel has received €126,941for a number of performances and in Roscommon J & C Promotions Limited has received €162,432 to host The Three Amigos with guests in different venues around the country.
In Cavan, Garry Construction have received €52,892 for outdoor live events with multiple acts filmed for streaming in Loughcrew Oldcastle and the Westenra Hotel in Monaghan has received €31,735 for Live entertainment from July to September.
