A Longford Councillor has called on the local authority to establish a structured maintenance programme for walkways throughout the county. Fianna Fáil Cllr Sean Mimnagh brought forward a motion to yesterdays Longford County Council meeting.
He believes the programme should include regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades as necessary, to enhance the usability of walkways for residents and visitors. Cllr Mimnagh says he received widespread support from his fellow councillors at yesterdays meeting:
