A south Longford Councillor is calling for the provision of two bus shelters in Ballymahon.
Pat O'Toole says he's witnessed many people standing out in poor weather conditions particularly close to the health centre on Upper Main Street.
The Fianna Fail representative raised the issue at a recent meeting of Ballymahon MD where he called for the shelters to be included in streetscape design works for the town.
Councillor O'Toole would like to see the local authority working with the National Transport Authority on the matter.
'Bus stops and bus shelters are an issue for the National Transport Authority.
I was asking would it work with Longford County Council's road design team in relation to the bus shelters .
It will be looked at in junction with the Streetscape works.'
