A Longford County Councillor is calling for widespread action to tackle errors and outdated information on the Electoral Register.
Seamus Butler brought a motion to the March Meeting of Longford County Council, calling on the local authority to go door to door to confirm the details of the register. Councillor Butler says that the National Referendum earlier this month has shown major inaccuracies in the register of electors and that this must be addressed before June's Local elections.
