Bus Eireann isn't fit for purpose when it comes to providing school transport.
That's according to Longford County Councillor Padraig Brady who says he is helping with 11 cases where families are struggling to get school bus tickets for children.
The Drumlish councillor says Bus Eireann won't even return calls and the system is broken.
He has called on Longford County Council to write to the Minister for Education and Skills on the issue.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound Cllr Brady says inspectors are depending on national routes on google maps to determine where the closest school is for a child and it's local bus drivers that should be consulted on these things, not office based people.
