A Longford councillor has praised the response of local authority staff in the wake of two damaging storms this week.
Fianna Fáil councillor Uruemu Adejinmi also highlighted the input of local communities following Storms Isha and Jocelyn. A number of homes remain without power today following the storms on Sunday and Tuesday respectively. Cllr Adejinmi said a monitoring structure is in place to help improve the council's response to weather events. She said the events of the past week would show the council where it can improve going forward.
