Householders in Longford are being reminded that there is a chance for them to safely dispose of dangerous household or garden chemicals today.
Longford County Council is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection this morning at Mulleady's Civic Amentiy Site in Drumlish from 10am to 1pm.
People can dispose of old paints, out of date household cleaners and garden herbicides, waste oil, and old batteries.
Medicines that are no long needed can also be brought along, and there will a "per kilo" charge for the waste that's brought to the site.
