Longford County Librarian Mary Carleton Reynolds says there's been a great response to the new "contact and collect" service which began at libraries all over the country on the 8th of this month.
The new service works by people calling or e-mailing their local branch in the mornings and asking for books they would like to borrow.
The books will then be put together by library staff and can be collected by the library members in the afternoon.
The Longford librarian says there's a very healthy membership in the county already and people have been adapting well to the reduced services the libraries have been able to offer over the past weeks…
