Longford is reporting one of the highest 14-day incidence rates of Covid-19 transmission in the country according to a new report.
Longford, Carlow and Louth have now taken the top spots nationally with Westmeath also highlighted as an area of concern.
According to the Irish Independent, the three counties have surpassed Monaghan, Cavan and Donegal, whose figures have been over double the national average over the past few weeks.
286 Covid patients are in hospitals this morning, with over 60 of them in local facilities.
The latest HSE figures show there are 65 people in ICU with the virus.
