A Longford healthcare professional says we need to adopt a different approach on Covid testing for children with colds before the season begins in earnest.
Eoin Mac Cormaic who runs a dental clinic in Longford town with his wife says they both had to cancel several patients last week after one of their children was referred for a test because of cold symptoms.
The Longford dentist says he's not sure it's necessary to test every child who presents with cold symptoms, especially given that there's likely to be surge in colds when schools re-open.
