The head of the group which represents the majority of GPs in Ireland is hopeful that any issues with the vaccine roll out to surgeries will be resolved by next week.
It's estimated around 200 GP surgeries still haven't received any Covid vaccines yet for the over 85s.
But the HSE is insisting it's on target to finish the administration of the first dose to this age cohort by the end of the week.
Longford GP and President of the IMO Dr Padraig McGarry admits the delays have been very frustrating but is hopeful the delivery issues will be resolved in the coming days.
He told the Joe Finnegan Show that almost all over 85s will have the vaccine by the end of next week.
