The Longford Local Electoral Area has the highest Covid rate in the Shannonside region.
New figures which reveal Covid incidents between the 17th and 30th of November, show 28 cases in the LEA - resulting in a rate of 174 - well above the national average of 87.0.
Seven cases in Granard LEA in the same time period last month resulted in a rate of just 65, and in south Longford, fewer than five cases were recorded in the two-week period.
In Roscommon, the north of the county, the Boyle LEA area again remains the county's Covid blackspot, with twenty-two cases recorded resulting in a rate of 100 while 10 cases were recorded in the Roscommon LEA and seven in the Athlone LEA.
Carrick-on-Shannon's LEA rate is just above the national average after 10 cases, with fewer than five cases in the Ballinamore electoral area.
