The organisers of the Farrell Clan rally in Longford are encouraging anyone who has an interest in the culture and heritage of the county to attend the official launch of the event next Tuesday night in the Annaly Hotel.
The Farrell Clan project has brought over 1,000 international visitors to Longford over the past 30 years and has over 50 bookings so far this year from Canada, USA, Argentina and Great Britain.
This year's event runs from the 18th to the 22nd of July and will see the visitors being brought to several areas around the country bringing much needed business with them.
Chairman John Farrell says the Covid pandemic didn't have the same impact on the Farrell Clan rally because it's run on a four year cycle and wasn't due to be held until this year.
