Longford food bank hopes to help a number of families this Christmas

Longford food bank apart of KS food appeal is hoping to support a number of hard pressed families this Christmas.

Bikers and motor cycle enthusiasts gathered in Drumlish to take part in a fundraiser for Longford Food Bank.

The Irish branch of Devil's Disciples hosted a motorcycle poker run around the area followed by a rock party.

Funds of over 1000 euro was raised from the event and will go towards the purchasing of food vouchers for struggling families in County Longford.

Devil's Disciples have been hosting charity events around the country in an effort to support good causes.

Louise McGann and Sinead Reilly, founders of Longford Food Bank say that the funds raised are much needed in the run up to Christmas.
