Longford council chairman Paul Ross is encouraging people to report their concerns if they see excessive displays of wealth with no obvious signs of income.
Councillor Ross who's also a member of the county's Joint Policing Committee says people have been very happy to see the recent seizures of property, drugs and cash in the area.
He says the work of the Criminal Assets Bureau in investigating the people concerned is helped by members of the community who report their concerns in the first instance.
