The Longford Garda Superintendent says the number of people at a popular Ballymahon amenity breaching the 5km exercise limit on Sunday last was 'worrying'.
Gardai issued over 30 fixed payment notices to motorists parked at Newcastle Woods after the vehicles were found to be outside their 5km limit for people to exercise.
It was the third weekend in a row when Gardai attended the woods to speak to people about observing the level 5 lockdown rule.
Special Garda technology was able to determine the addresses of the owners of cars and if they were within the recommended radius.
