Two individuals entered the premises adjacent to Longford Shopping Centre after 11 o'clock yesterday morning and confronted staff.

In a follow-up search, Gardaí discovered a cannabis grow farm in the early stages of construction. 

Gardaí on routine patrol stopped the driver of the vehicle in the Kilashee Street area of the town.

The initiative was created between Gardaí and Irish Rail to tackle increased levels of problem behaviours on the rail network.

The individual was charged with numerous offences including possession of drugs for sale or supply, and driving without car insurance or a driving licence.
