In the last week, the Longford Roads Policing Unit has made a number of stops for a range of traffic offences.
Longford Gardaí arrested one motorist off the Market Square observed breaking a red light.
The driver failed a subsequent fluids test. Test results showed traces of cannabis in their system.
Elsewhere in the town this week, another motorist is under investigation after they produced a fake drivers licence following a traffic stop.
