Longford Gardaí have launched a criminal investigation following a fire at a property in the town overnight.
Emergency services attended a home in the Ardnacassa area in the early hours of this morning following reports that a vehicle was on fire.
A unit of Longford Fire Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire that had severely damaged a parked truck.

No one was injured in the incident and the adjacent property was undamaged.
Gardaí are treating the fire as an alleged incident of criminal damage and are urging anyone with information to contact Longford Garda station.
