Longford Gardaí motorist driving with ten year road ban

Gardaí arrested a local motorist yesterday after it was discovered they had been banned from driving for the past decade.

Members of the Roads Policing Unit in Longford stopped a vehicle on the R194 near Kiloe after they saw a child was unrestrained in the back seat.

It then emerged the driver had been disqualified from driving for the past ten years.

The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
