Longford GP Dr Padraig McGarry says people who are concerned about the high level of Covid cases can take the simple action of staying at home and reducing the amount of people they meet as much as possible.
The Longford doctor, who's also president of the Irish Medical Organisation, says we're likely to be heading into a bumpy few weeks where the Covid cases will mean the general health system is put under severe pressure.
Dr McGarry says the simplest advice is also the most effective when it comes to people protecting themselves and others from this virus:
