A Longford GP says it's not unexpected a fourth booster vaccine will be offered to some cohorts in the coming weeks.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has accepted new advice from NIAC that over 65s and those who are immuno-compromised by offered another booster jab.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show Dr. Paul Trueick believes 3rd doses which were administered prior to November are now weaning resulting in an increase in cases.
However, he feels most people are getting a milder dose.
The booster dose which people started to get back November has now lost its potency. So it would seem sensible to offer a fourth vaccine at this stage to try and dampen the surge.
