Longford in need of increased Garda resources says local Councillor

Garda resources should not be deployed to Dublin at the detriment of policing in the Shannonside Region.

That's according to local Councillor and member of the Community Safety Partnership, Gerry Warnock.

Several high profile criminal incidents have taken place in the town over the last 2 weeks including an assault, hoax bomb threat and most recently, an armed robbery..
