The creation of 100 new jobs at a Longford factory is proof the midlands is ready to host new manufacturing businesses.
Senator Michael Carrigy made the argument following the announcement of the new jobs at C&D Pet Foods in Edgeworthstown.
The company has announced the new jobs at their Longford facility along with an investment of 48 million euro.
The Longford based Senator believes that new companies will come to the area if the necessary infrastructure work is complete.
