The Longford electoral area has the highest rate of Covid 19 in the Shannonside region.
According to the latest incidence rates per 100,000 of population, it stands at 349.
The rate in Granard is also well above the national average of 158, at 271.
The Ballymahon electoral area is fairing much better just under the national average at 155.
Turning to Roscommon and with 50 cases in the Boyle LEA in the last two weeks, it's incidence rate is close to that of Granard at 229.
Rates in the Roscommon and Athlone LEAs are much lower at 123 and 100 respectively.
Leitrim continues to be the best performing county when it comes to suppressing the virus, the Carrick on Shannon local electoral area has an incidence rate of just 79 and with less than 5 cases of the virus in the Ballinamore LEA, it's rate is the lowest in the country at less than 5 per 100,000 of population.
