A Longford local is to compete for the title of Europe's Strongest Woman.
Athlete Jade Hoare is travelling to London's Excel Arena to participate in the Official Strongman Games European Championships over the weekend.
The twenty-nine-year-old will be competing in the women's under 82kg category.
She is currently living in Aughnacliffe but was born in Longford town.
The athlete has officially been Ireland's Strongest Woman for the last two years, and is now aiming for another year at the three-day-long competition.
