A Longford man says he has been left with no choice but to quit his job after failing to obtain care for his father.
Enda, who's father suffers from limited mobility as a result of a stroke, told the Joe Finnegan show that his father receives just 1 hour of care per day on weekdays.
This, according to Enda, has put an enormous strain on his family and neighbours.
He says that trying to voice his problems to the relevant bodies is 'like hitting a brick wall'.
"I have to go to my boss today and say I have to quit because my dad needs to be looked after. I have no choice in the matter. I love my job but at this stage I have no choice. All I'm asking for is for a human to answer the phone rather than waiting for 20 minutes or half an hour for a response".
