A motorist in Longford is facing a court date following a number of traffic offences this week.
Longford Roads Policing Unit on patrol in the town yesterday noticed a driver not wearing a seatbelt.
Following the stop, Gardaí found that the driver did not hold a valid driving license and the vehicle was not insured.
The car was seized by local Gardaí, with the motorist to face Longford District court in the coming months.
Following a number of road tragedy's across the country over the last month, An Garda Siochána and the Road Safety Authority are appealing for people to take every safety precaution possible when on the road.
