A Longford native has been announced as the new president of the Camogie Association
Brian Molloy, who originally hails from Lanesboro, was elected as the first male president of the association at the Camogie Congress last weekend.
Now living in South Galway, Brian's interest in Camogie began after his two daughters began playing on the GAA pitches next to their home.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, he says that having Camogie operating under a single GAA entity alongside male football and hurling remains a key aim for the association
'Obviously integration is a big topic at the moment and for me personally the camogie association has a whole are very committed to driving this forward .
We really want to see this happen and then move on from it and get to a point where we operation within a single GAA .
This can be achieved by organizing and developing our games whether it is a ladies or a men's football, hurling or camogie.'
