A Longford native has been crowned Young Rostrum Auctioneer of the Year.
Bryn Peters took home the top prize at the prestigious event which is organised by the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers on Friday.
The Lanesborough native who now works in Maynooth conducted four live auctions at the Tattersalls Sales Complex in Fairyhouse to come out on top.
Nine Novice Auctioneers from all over Ireland took to the podium to battle it out for title and Bryn will now attend the American Auction Academy in Dallas Texas for training.
Speaking to Shannonside FM Bryn says he delighted with the win.
''The competition was designed to challenge young novice auctioneers and see their skills on the rostrum in a real life auction scenario, I've won a weeks auctioneering training in the American Auctioneering Academy in Dallas, Texas. That's going to be a phenomenal experience and the Ron Duff memorial Rose Bowl.''
