A north Longford native is encouraging the public to be aware of their cardiovascular health.
Operation Transformation leader Thomas Hynes says he hopes his participation in the programme has prompted others to attend regular check-ups and make changes to their lifestyle.
The Granard man suffered a heart attack four years ago and says he's learned so much about cardiovascular disease.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show ahead of the show's finale tonight Thomas paid special tribute to the people of County Longford for their overwhelming support.
Over the past number of weeks almost three hundred have turned out to walk with Thomas each Monday and Wednesday evening.
He's now urging others to look after their health.
'It was more the well being and getting the help in terms of learning more about cardiovascular disease because joe cardiovascular disease in Ireland is the biggest killer in the county.
When men come into their forties, we tend to sort of neglect heading to our local GP not getting out blood pressure checked or bloods done and if you think there is something going a miss get into the doctors and get those vitals checked.'
