A Longford musical director is calling on the Government to give clarity on the production of pantomimes.
It comes as the cabinet is expected to ask parents to choose between playdates and pantos, to help reduce their child's close contacts.
While the traditional Longford pantomime is set to go ahead this year its Co-Producer and Musical Director Paul Hennessy says there is confusion over the guidelines it might face.
He is hoping the government will give clarity later today so people can purchase their tickets following a nationwide lull in sales in recent days.
The local producer says the production will follow all public health guidelines with a reduced audience capacity, the checking of vaccine certs and the wearing of masks throughout the show.
