A Longford poet and performance artist hopes that people will give the county more respect after a widely praised TV appearance last weekend.
'Feli Speaks' appeared on The Tommy Tiernan Show with her best friend and Offaly singer Tolü Makay which generated huge praise for both women on social media.
However, the comedian upset some Longford natives when he claimed while interviewing the two young women that Longford town was "marvellous with some marvellous people" but it also had its "challenges".
The Longford woman, who is a past pupil of St Joseph's and Mean Scoil Mhuire in the town will feature on next year's Leaving Cert curriculum and she told the Joe Finnegan Show that she was not surprised that people would be upset by the host's comments about Longford:
