A Longford based principal says she's frustrated with the responses she's receiving from the HSE School's Helpline.
Orla Finnegan who teaches at St. Felim's National School believes the number of Covid-19 outbreaks in schools is inaccurate due to the non-recording of positive antigen tests.
Following an outbreak at the school this week the Ballinagh principal was told that the students would need a result from a PCR test in order to be logged.
However, current HSE advice asks those aged between 4 and 39 to not book a PCR test but instead use an antigen.
She says the guidance from the HSE and HSE Principal's Helpline is contradictory and she's now calling on the Department of Education to provide further support to principals.
