A Longford publican says he believes the culture of pub attendance here may have to change if bars are to survive when they re-open.
The PRO of Longford Vintners Federation John Duignan says publicans have been very happy to hear that they are to be allowed re-open sooner than anticipated.
However, he feels many pubs will face challenges in how they will be able to operate and the costs involved.
The Longford town publican says most pubs have seen their business become more and more concentrated into a few days of the week and that in itself will pose problems under the new regulations.
