A Longford woman who is organising a Christmas concert in Waterford later this month has bene talking about how she's coped with being diagnose with an inoperable brain tumour in recent years.
Barbara Dowling who's originally from Kerry, lives on Saints Island near Newtowncashel with her husband and daughter.
She was diagnosed with the brain tumour, as well as thyroid cancer, and Multiple Sclerosis inside a 24 hour period in July three years ago.
Barbara's now cancer free and is getting treatment which has helped slow the progression of the MS.
As a result of her work as a musician Barbara decided to stage a 'Christmas in June' concert in aid of Brain Tumour Ireland in Waterford at the end of this month with hundreds of musicians and singers travelling to take part.
She spoke on the Lets Talk show today about how she's coped with such a serious diagnosis over the last few years:
