A public information session is to take place online this evening about the new Longford Local Community Safety Partnership.
The Partnership is one of three new pilot projects around the country.
It's a government initiative to bring statutory services, the voluntary and community sector, local councillors and community members from around the county to work together in identifying and tackling community safety issues.

This evening's information session aims to raise public awareness of the initiative and to explain the next steps.
These will involve a wide ranging public consultation that will inform the development of the Community Safety Plan.
