Longford school granted permission for new extension

A well known Longford National School has received permission to construct a substantial new extension to the school.

Scoil Eimear N.S on the Ballinalee Road outside the town submitted plans for 4 new classrooms, toilets for students and staff alongside a new circulation area.

Plans for the project were submitted by the Board of Management of Scoil Eimear N.S. in April.

County planners have given the go-ahead for the development with 6 conditions attached.
