More investment is needed in women’s football to deliver new facilities and ensure gender equality. That is the view of Longford senator Micheál Carrigy, who says it's disgraceful only a third of clubs have female toilets.
The Fine Gael politician calls for the problem to be tackled so players are not put off from playing soccer. Senator Carrigy says the Women's National Team have seen success so that needs to be followed by more funding:
