A Longford senator is urging the ESB to invest more money in providing community facilities for Ballyleague and Lanesboro.
Micheal Carrigy is calling on the Minister for the Environment to provide an additional half-a-million euro to the south Longford community following the closure of the Lough Ree Power station last year.
Last month €1.4m was announced to develop cycling and walking paths in bogland in the Corlea and wider areas .
The Balllinalee native is urging Minister Eamon Ryan to come to the county to inspect projects which the senator says need additional support due to rising costs :
