A Longford student has been announced the winner of this year's national art competition 'Someone Like Me'.
Matthew Yacob, a sixth class pupil at St. Teresa's National School in Ballinalee impressed the judges with his drawings of individuals with varying abilities.
His message portrayed that 'the only disability in life is a bad attitude!' and it scooped the first prize out of 1,800 entries.
Matthew says he's inspired by his older brother who has autism, and he has observed that you can do anything in life if t you put your mind to it.
Matthew and his teacher Grainne Fox spoke on the Let's Talk show this week, about the win.
