A Longford supermarket has been evacuated and sealed off this evening following a bomb threat.
The store received a call around 6 o'clock making the threat, with management making the decision to evacuate staff and customers.
Gardai and the fire service were called to the scene shortly after the call was received.
The scene has now been secured by Gardai as they await the assistance of The Defence forces.
This is the second time in two years the store has been the victim of a bomb threat.
In 2023, both Dunnes Stores and Longford Shopping Centre were the victim of a bomb threat.
