Longford swimmer, Darragh Greene will represent Ireland at the Tokyo Olympics later this year.
Swim Ireland announced changes to the their policy in regards to qualifying for the re-scheduled games and this has allowed Greene and American Shane Ryan who's father hailed from Laois to be considered for selection.
Both swimmers have posted performance "A" times in their respective events at the Irish open championships in 2019.
Darragh achieved his times in the 100m Breaststroke at the FINA World Championships in 2019 and 200m Breaststroke at the Irish Open Championships in 2019,
The Olympics are due to get underway in Tokyo in July.
