A Longford TD has called on the Minister for Health to provide additional staff and services for children needing urgent orthodontic treatment in the Shannonside region.
Deputy Joe Flaherty highlighted in the Dail the case of a Longford teenager who has been waiting over three years for specialist treatment in Tullamore.
The Fianna Fail representative claimed that the HSE suggested the delay in the treatment was due to a lack of staff in the dental services and the boy did not have "high clinical need"
