A long-awaited deal on the Northern Ireland Protocol could be reached in the coming hours.
British prime minister, Rishi Sunak, and European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, are meeting to finalise details this lunchtime.
It remains unclear whether the DUP will support the agreement which they've said will be subject to their seven tests.
Longford/Westmeath Fine Gael Deputy, and Minister for European Affairs, Peter Burke, says it's important for the UK and EU to get beyond Brexit:
'The developments there are very hopeful. Obviously, there has to be some fine tuning on the agreement with the UK and the EU but wee have always put our trust in Maros Sefcovic as the chief talker for the EU and it will be his call as to when talks are conducted.'
