Longford County Council's first Tidy Towns engagement event was held in recent weeks.
14 Tidy Towns groups from across the county attended the event in the Edgeworthstown library at the end of April.
Guest speaker at the event, Ann O'Leary, spoke about her experience as a Tidy Towns adjudicator and guided groups through preparations for the competitions.
Attendees were also provided with information on council intiatives which could benefit the groups into the future.
Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council, councillor Colm Murray, says the work of the Tidy Towns is invaluable and is encouraing anyone wishing to volunteer to do so.
