Longford is to host its annual Christmas light switch this week. The event will kick off the Christmas festivities on Friday, 24 November at 6pm. Family activities are expected to take place, as well as an appearance from Santa Claus.
Longford County Council has announced the closure of Main Street in Longford Town from 4:00pm to 9:00pm to facilitate the event. Diversions will be in place in the town centre for local traffic, and motorists are requested to take alternative routes.
